About This Experience

A 3-hour semi-private sunset yacht experience. Swim at Kallithea Springs in crystal-clear Mediterranean waters, then cruise while sipping an Aperol Spritz as the sun slowly disappears into the sea. Drinks and snacks included in a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere aboard a comfortable motor yacht. Maximum 25 guests for an intimate golden-hour experience.

Golden Hour Yacht Experience — Semi-Private is timed around golden hour rather than distance. The crew focuses on positioning the vessel for west-facing views as Rhodes Town lights begin to glow. It is a relaxed, social atmosphere suited to couples and groups who already explored the island during the day. Dress in layers and book mid-week in peak season for a quieter deck.

Sunset sailings fill quickly in July and August. Arrive early, bring a light jacket for the return after dark, and expect gentle background music rather than a party atmosphere on most vessels. Photography is best from the stern or upper deck once the captain positions the boat west.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about this experience. For booking, weather and general boat questions see the full FAQ.

How do I book this experience?

Send a booking request on this page or contact us with your preferred date and group size. We confirm availability with the operator, usually within a few hours. July and August departures need at least one week ahead for shared cruises. Your confirmation includes meeting point, time and what to bring.

What time does a sunset cruise depart?

Departure shifts with the season: roughly 17:15–18:00 in spring and autumn, later in midsummer. Arrive 20 minutes early. Compare options on our Rhodes Boat Cruises page.

What should I bring on the day?

Swimwear, towel, high-SPF sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. Soft-soled shoes work best on deck; bring a light layer for the return trip. Take seasickness tablets before longer crossings if needed. Leave bulky luggage at your hotel.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If conditions are unsafe, the operator reschedules during your stay or refunds according to their policy. Symi crossings and sunset trips may move when wind is strong. See our FAQ page for general weather guidance.
